ESA Statement on Murder of Abortion Doctor
ESA is shocked and strongly condemns the murder of Dr. George Tiller. Such action is immoral and abhorrent. It also discredits our commitment to the sanctity of human life.

Christian Leaders Send Urgent Letter to President Obama
The day after President Obama's historic speech to the Muslim world in Cairo, fifty-four prominent Christian leaders released an open letter to the President urging him to exercise strong, vigorous leadership to push Israelis and Palestinians to a just sustainable two-state solution. The letter notes the extreme urgency observing that "the window of opportunity (for a two-state solution) is rapidly closing." Prominent Christian leaders from all major traditions--The Black Church, Catholics, Evangelicals, Mainline Protestants--signed the letter.

- Protect Children from Marketers: Since the 1980s, when children’s television programming was deregulated and Congress restricted the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) authority to regulate advertising to children—and the before the technology required to deliver those advertisements began to multiply at astronomical speed—mothers and fathers have been struggling alone against an onslaught of marketing that is undermining good parenting and hurting our children.
