ESA is shocked and strongly condemns the murder of Dr. George Tiller. Such action is immoral and abhorrent. It also discredits our commitment to the sanctity of human life.

Christian Leaders Send Urgent Letter to President Obama
The day after President Obama's historic speech to the Muslim world in Cairo, fifty-four prominent Christian leaders released an open letter to the President urging him to exercise strong, vigorous leadership to push Israelis and Palestinians to a just sustainable two-state solution.  The letter notes the extreme urgency observing that "the window of opportunity (for a two-state solution) is rapidly closing."  Prominent Christian leaders from all major traditions--The Black Church, Catholics, Evangelicals, Mainline Protestants--signed the letter.
