Sider Scholars
Each academic year, Palmer Theological Seminary and the Sider Center on Ministry and Public Policy offer up to ten Sider Scholarships (worth one-half of regular tuition, renewable for three years) to outstanding incoming, full-time students. Applicants for the Sider Scholarships should be excellent students, committed Christians and have a strong interest in holistic ministry and/or public policy. They can be enrolled either in the MTS degree (especially Palmer Theological Seminary’s concentration in Christian Faith and Public Policy directed by Dr. Sider) or the M.Div. degree.
Sider Scholars will meet regularly with Dr. Sider and work 10 hours a week in various programs of the Sider Center on Ministry and Public Policy.
One of the Sider Scholars each year will be Sider Writing Scholars. Applicants should have a strong interest in becoming a journalist and/or author that uses writing skills to further the kingdom of God. They would gain experience in popular writing by working with and writing for publications of Evangelicals for Social Action.
Information on all scholarship opportunities, including the Sider Scholar is available at Palmer Theological Seminary. For additional information on any of these programs, contact Dr. Steve Hutchison, Office of Admissions (484-384-2949).
